60 Plus Association Betrays The Truth In Attacking Rep. Joe Donnelly
The 60 Plus Association, which calls itself the conservative alternative to the AARP, has produced a new ad attacking Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) for supposedly betraying seniors by supporting health care reform. But 60 Plus is betraying its members' trust with this dishonest attack ad. The ad falsely claims that the Affordable Care Act "cuts $500 billion from Medicare." In reality, the bill does not cut Medicare, but takes big steps to strengthening the program now and for future generations. Worst of all, the 60 Plus ad ignores the myriad benefits of the landmark reform bill, including 7,000 jobs in Indiana.
