Glenn Beck's Favorite Congressman Takes On Cass Sunstein, Glenn Beck's Most Hated Foe
During a May 25 oversight hearing, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) challenged Cass Sunstein, Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, with a series of attacks that mirrored Fox News host Glenn Beck's past smears of Sunstein. Beck has previously identified Sunstein as "the most dangerous man in America" and as someone who is "evil." As Political Correction has previously noted, Chaffetz has often used his position on the House Oversight Committee to serve as Glenn Beck's man in Congress

Rep. Jason Chaffetz: Chairman Of Glenn Beck's Oversight Committee
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), a prominent "rising star" in the House GOP caucus, has often used his position on the House Oversight Committee to serve as Glenn Beck's man in Congress. Chaffetz has repeatedly responded to Beck's conspiracy theories by demanding documents from the parties involved or even introducing legislation. Beck has noticed Chaffetz's efforts, repeatedly applauding him as one of the "good Republicans" his audience can "trust." Chaffetz, a frequent Beck guest, has likewise declared the Fox host a "great educator" and participated in his events, even scheduling a retreat for his staff so that they could attend Beck's Restoring Honor rally.

GOP Can't Pick A Number On Cap-And-Trade
In a blog post on May 18, 2009, Rep. Jason Chaffetz said: "The Left obviously does not want taxpayers to know the real cost of the tax-and-trade scheme." However, Republicans have claimed, over the course of five days, that cap-and-trade could cost $1,500, $2,200, $3,000, and $3,100, as opposed to the $150 estimate released by the Environmental Protection Agency. It would seem that it is those on the Right who don't want people to know the true cost of cap-and-trade.
