Tea Parties vs. Health Insurance Costs
In Conservatives for Patients Rights' July 2, 2009 "Daily Dose" email, CPR highlighted a FreedomWorks "interactive map that lists anti-government-run health care events and protests throughout the country that will be taking place during the month of July." Campaign for America's Future also released an interactive map highlighting the high costs of health care and health insurance across the country. When viewed together the maps clearly show that while Americans are enduring a growing health care crisis, FreedomWorks continues to host protests against the very legislation that could ease hardship across the country.

A Tea Partier's Tale
Earlier this week, FreedomWorks president Matt Kibbe told a tale of tea party triumph in an article for the libertarian magazine Reason. According to Kibbe, the protests - which drew a meager 700,000 people nationwide by his own count - are a reason to "take pity on the left as it grapples with the tea party revolt." But no matter how badly Kibbe wants to believe the American people are on his side, his "facts" just aren't right.
