FreedomWorks Falsely Claims 30 Thousand Attended House GOP "House Call"

On November 5, 2009, FreedomWorks published a blog post claiming the "House Call" promoted by Rep. Michele Bachmann attracted "25-30 thousand" health care protesters.  However, Capitol Police estimated the crowd to number around 4,000.

The Truth: It Was Small

Capitol Police Estimated The Crowd Numbered 4,000. As reported by MSNBC, "Three Capitol Hill police officers all guessed that the crowd numbered at about 4,000. (Here's a wide shot picture of the crowd.)" [MSNBC, 11/5/09]
