Rep. West Tries To Blame President Obama For A Bill Obama Opposes

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) has been active on Twitter today, and this afternoon he notified his followers that he opposes the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) while implying that SOPA is somehow supported by or the fault of President Obama.

In his partisan fervor, West failed to research a list of SOPA supporters. President Obama, in fact, does not support the legislation, which was introduced by Republican Rep. Lamar Smith (TX). Opponents and supporters vary widely and are not divided along partisan lines.

West later deleted the tweet, replacing it with one that makes a similar attempt to light partisan fires by implying SOPA is a power grab for Attorney General Eric Holder:
