Despite His Own Incendiary Rhetoric, Rep. Gohmert Complains Obama Is "Dividing America"

In an interview with the Daily Caller, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) identifies the biggest threat to the nation:

I see the president is a divider, not a uniter. He said the opposite, but what we've seen is he's using class warfare, he's dividing America.

Gohmert seems a bit confused; "a uniter, not a divider" is the slogan George W. Bush used when he first ran for the presidency, not Barack Obama. Anyway: How, according to Gohmert, has he divided America?

He has encouraged the Occupy movement as being a good thing. There hasn't been a president in our history that as a sitting president encouraged protesters. I mean, Lyndon Johnson didn't want all those protesters. But this president has encouraged it. That makes no sense unless you have a divider not a uniter.

That standard must not apply to members of Congress, for Gohmert has spoken at Tea Party events and claimed that more than half of Americans are part of the Tea Party movement.

Later in the interview, Gohmert shows President Obama how the whole uniter-not-a-divider thing is done:

The Fast and Furious episode is a nasty glimpse into how ugly things can turn when people are unaccountable, when they do not have the American values that have encouraged Washington, Lincoln, Martin Luther King, those who really struggled to make America greater. It's what happens when people have insidious motivations, and think that they can reach their goals by twisting the truth, by hiding what's really going on, by manipulating criminals instead of bringing them to justice.

The spirit of togetherness really touches your heart, doesn't it? And that's just a latest in a long line of Gohmert attempts at teaching the world to sing in perfect harmony:
