A weekly roundup of what House Republicans are and aren't doing with their committees.

Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-TX) both grilled Attorney General Eric Holder in a hearing this week, and Holder is accusing Republicans of politicizing the event.

Smith requested DOJ documents pertaining Supreme Court Justice and former administration official Elena Kagan's role in defending the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act against challenges; Holder questioned Smith's authority to request them.

Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) is continuing his crusade against the Chevy Volt — Kelly, Issa and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) are accusing the Obama administration of covering up the car's safety problems in order to push green vehicles.

The former deputy chief of staff to Judiciary Committee Chair Lamar Smith is leaving to work for an entertainment lobbying firm, where she'll be pushing her previous colleagues in Congress to support her former boss's biggest piece of legislation — the Stop Online Piracy Act.
