It Has Been One YEAR Since The House Immigration Reform Caucus Updated Its Website

July 21, 2010 1:26 pm ET — Melinda Warner

Rep. Brian Bilbray (R-CA), with his illegal immigrant spotting talents, chairs the House Immigration Reform Caucus.  First chaired by Tom Tancredo, the purpose of the IRC is "to review current immigration policy, to initiate new immigration policy and to create a much-needed forum in Congress to address both the positive and negative consequences of immigration."

As an issue-specific caucus, the IRC should be an active site used for updating followers about the ongoing debate (such as SB 1070, the DREAM Act, etc.), but the website hasn't been updated since a year ago today.

The most recent news item posted to the site was on July 21, 2009.

The caucus hasn't posted a press release to its site since June 10, 2009.

And the last video to be posted was in July 2008.

The last piece of legislation posted on the caucus website is from November 2007.

Bilbray, and the 96 other members of the caucus, are clearly not committed to initiating any immigration policy or reviewing any of the immigration reform proposals that are currently available.

That is, they haven't done much other than make ridiculous statements involving baby terrorist immigrants, using your sixth sense to detect someone's citizenship status, deporting American citizens, or likening immigrants to bugs.
