Gingrich Takes Political Advice From Man Who Calls Obama "The Kenyan"

At a town hall meeting earlier this week, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) garnered attention for defending Speaker Pelosi in front of the hostile crowd. After being booed for saying she was a "nice lady," Coburn said, "come on now. She is nice - how many of you all have met her? She's a nice person."

Similarly, when an audience member called then-Sen. Obama an "Arab" during a 2008 town hall meeting, Sen. John McCain laudably set the record straight, saying, "no, ma'am. He's a decent family man citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, however, saw no need to correct the record when an audience member at his "Real Job Summit in New Orleans" stood up and referred to President Obama as "the Kenyan."

After the audience squealed with joy at the questioner's birtherism, Gingrich patiently listened to the man's advice.  When the man was finished speaking, Gingrich complimented his contribution to the discussion and instructed his staff to take note of the man's ideas.
