Veterans Group Stresses National Security Risks Of Relying On Foreign Oil

VoteVets.org, a "pro-military organization founded by Veterans of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan to be the voice of the 21st century patriot" has joined the fight for clean energy.  In a series of new advertisements, veterans warn of the national security threats resulting from our reliance on foreign oil.

The group's website writes:

The fight to get off Middle East oil - permanently - is one that is very important to us.  Every day, we send American dollars overseas to countries with ties to terrorism.  In the past, hundreds of millions - if not billions - of oil profits have made their way to the same terrorists we're fighting against.

We're funding both sides of the war against al Qaeda and other terror networks from the region, and Middle East oil money has gone to kill our troops and target America.
