Tea Partiers To Michael Steele: Not So Fast

RNC chairman Michael Steele is a big fan of the tea party movement.  In May, Steele observed that change was "being delivered in a teabag, and that's a wonderful thing." His adoration is deep, so much so that Steele told Fox New hosts Greta Van Susteren and Neil Cavuto last night that were he not RNC chairman, he would be "out there with the tea parties."

Not so fast.

Appearing on Your World With Neil Cavuto this afternoon, tea party leader Steve McQueen, co-founder of the Illinois Tea Party, pointed out that "the GOP is currently on probation with the American people and obviously, you can't be on probation and probably be a member of the tea parties at the same time."
