Jake Tapper Smacks Down The Likes Of Newt Gingrich Over Poll Results

Media Matters Action Network noted earlier this week that Newt Gingrich claimed that the new Washington Post/ABC News poll was "deliberately rigged" against Republicans.

We wrote:

It's no surprise that Mr. Gingrich isn't happy with the poll's results, as it revealed only 20% of Americans currently identify with the GOP and that a "clear majority" now backs Democratic health insurance reform proposals. 

Unsurprisingly, Gingrich's views were echoed by a slew of prominent Republicans.  On Twitter, Republicans were having a field day over the conspiracy - which prompted ABC News' Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper to tweet:
