While seeking to rally the public around "free enterprise," the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's new website features ads from some of America's most notorious industries: oil, tobacco, and health insurance.
An Odd Tactic
Today the U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a new "free enterprise" campaign to rally the public around its free market solutions. As shown below, the brand new website prominently features advertisements for the American Petroleum Institute, Altria (a.k.a. Philip Morris tobacco), and WellPoint health insurance.
Highlighting those industries is an odd tactic for the Chamber of Commerce as it seeks to win over the public.
