Rep. Walter Jones tweets today demanding Washington stop the spending binge. But will the Congressman change his own free spending ways?

Rep Walter Jones: The national debt today is $11,610,937,334,253.29. Your share is $37,817.72. The spending binge of Washington, DC must stop now. [Twitter, 7/28/09]
But in 2008 Jones receive more than $20 million in earmarks including:
- $2,798,274: Swan Quarter Dike (Natural Resources Conservation Service: Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations)
- $341,000: East Carolina University, Greenville, for the Metabolic Institute, including facilities and equipment (Health Resources and Services Administration - Department of Health and Human Services)
