Michael Steele Doesn't Know What Kind of Health Insurance He Has

Steele's confusion is further proof that he has no business being at the center of the debate over health care reform.

In an appearance on CNN this afternoon, RNC Chairman Michael Steele kept up his uninformed attacks on President Obama's plan for health care reform.  During the interview, Steele repeated the conservative meme that Congress needs to "slow down" the reform process.  After stumbling through a series of policy questions -- "That's not my job," he explained -- Steele finally got what seemed like a softball: "What type of health insurance do you have?"  In response, Steele revealed his Palin-esque ability to make even the most innocuous questions seem like "gotcha" journalism. The answer?  Steele's really not sure.  Watch it:

CNN: What type of health insurance do you have? Do you get that through the RNC?

STEELE: Yup, through my employer.

CNN: What company is it?

STEELE: Uhh. BlueCross BlueShield, I believe. Or maybe not.

Steele's confusion isn't all that surprising, considering the source.  But it's further proof that he has no business being at the center of the health care debate.
