Rep. Boehner Admits Stimulus "Will Create Much-Needed Jobs"
In a little-noticed statement released on June 15, 2009, House Minority Leader John Boehner admitted federal money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act "will create much needed jobs."
The Truth Comes Out
After federal officials ordered $57 million in federal stimulus money to be directed towards shovel-ready projects, House Minority Leader John Boehner released a statement saying:
I'm pleased that federal officials stepped in to order Ohio to use all of its construction dollars for shovel-ready projects that will create much-needed jobs.
On the surface, this little-noticed press release does not appear newsworthy, but after railing against the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act again and again and again and again, this statement is a breathtaking turnaround for Congressman Boehner.
Welcome to the club, Congressman.
