Conservative Group Spearheading SCOTUS Nomination Fight
The Judicial Confirmation Network has launched a campaign against some of President Obama's potential picks for the Supreme Court.
Today, the Judicial Confirmation Network (JCN) launched "Obama's Frontrunners," a new website seemingly aimed at raising money to fight the president's eventual Supreme Court nominee. As explained by JCN, the site features "a series of ads that expose the records of President Obama's reported frontrunners for the Supreme Court nomination to replace Justice Souter." Elena Kagan, Diane Wood, and Sonia Sotomayor are the campaign's only targets so far. Watch one of the ads:
Media Matters Action Network previously asked whether JCN would change their stance on judicial filibusters, which they strongly opposed during the Bush presidency.
